CCOSA

There’s not much that gives us more energy than hanging out with the *real* heroes who spend every day on the front lines educating and caring for our kids.

That’s why we were THRILLED to spend three days with 1,400 amazing Oklahoma school superintendents, principals, vice principals, counselors and other administrators at the CCOSA Summer Leadership Conference in Oklahoma City!

It was one of our best chances to share space with some of the people who matter most in our fight for the mental wellness of youth. At CCOSA they shared with us their experiences, their hearts, and their passion for making sure every child has an opportunity to learn and thrive in a safe environment.

“We could not have asked for a more fruitful time with these educators,” says Jim Stewart, Heroes In Waiting executive director. “We have never seen more people on fire and dedicated to helping our kids.”

Heroes In Waiting board of directors chairman – and OAESP Executive Committee Past-President – Ashley Hoggett couldn’t agree more. “I am so excited to get this program out there. Kids need it, families need it, the world needs it!” she says. “I just want to shout it from the rooftops.”

Almost 100 attendees took the chance to enter our raffle for a FREE high-energy, anti-bullying and peace-building assembly featuring Fox25 morning news personality and Oklahoma City Thunder hype guy Malcolm Tubbs, sponsored by our good friends at Love’s Travel Stops. Our second drawing was for an awesome Thunder Fan Pack – provided by the Oklahoma City Thunder, and stuffed with all the swag for the ultimate fan.
